I've set up legato to backup the physical node, and this node has ownership on the L:\ disk. however when I checked the backup, it didn't report any errors, but it still hadn't backed up the drive. Tried it several times, starting manual jobs to back up L:\ drive, and it only backed wrote the index, with no error messages.
We just did a migration to a new cluster, and this worked on the old cluster, this makes me think there's something wrong or not totally right about the cluster setup, but I'm still not ruling out this could be a networker problem.

Has anyone experienced smiliar problems?

Have you installed the cluster licenses? The client is cluster aware, and although this is speculation, I would guess that it ignores the cluster volumes if you don't have the licenses.
Also, with cluster licenses, you should back up the volumes via the cluster alias.

Good luck!
