I am runing Win Srv 2003 with NW 7.2.1
OS sits on C:
NW on the D:
I have taken an Image of both Drives using Acronis

I have then restored the Images to another Server, drives C and D.
The server boots ok and I can open NW admin and NW user, all the Indexes etc show up.

The problem i have is when I try to do a recovery I get the Message - No Index found. You have not backed up the source machine or you need to be connected as a Supervisor.

Can anyone offer any thoughts on this please?

This actually happened to me recently. What i found out was that the timestamp from the CFI and the one from the MI did not match.

Curing the problem was not an option for me at that time. However, i am confident that a re-scan of the save set would have solved the problem.

Worst case you could forget the CFI and run a save set recovery.

Hi 605, thnks for your response.

coul dyou just explain what you mean by MI and CFI.
Also, how would i do a re-scan of the save set ?

And how do I run save set recovery.

MI = Media Index = Media Database (/nsr/mm/....)
CFI = Client File Index (/nsr/index/clientname/...)

Scanning a save set:
- load media in drive
- run "scanner -i[v] device_name"

Recovering a save set:
recover -S ssid[/cloneid]
