networker ndmp and netapp

Hello,

We want to backup or netapp over ndmp. But the backup failed.

When we do a test:

nsrndmp_save -T dump -c netappa1 /vol/fstore

The output:

nsrndmp_save: error, no matching devices; check storage nodes, devices or pools

Error establishing the connections
******************************************************************
netappa1: /vol/fstore_master level=full, 0 KB 00:00:00 0 file
backup failed.
nsrndmp_save: Diagnostic: Save session closed with NW server sucessfully

Anyone?

nsrndmp_save: error, [red]no matching devices[/red]; check storage nodes, devices or pools

may be you need to load a correct drive or you don't have a pool that meet the criteria.

Where is your drive attached?

Until NW 7.1.x, it must be connected locally to the NDMP storage node.

Since 7.2, it can be on any other non-NDMP storage node as well.

And as Chacalinc says, if you select devices for pools, then it might fail.
