My consecutive errors exceeded the maximum I set which resulted in the drive becoming automatically disabled. How do I reset the consecutive errors which will allow me to enable the drive?

Thanks.

Have you try to Edit the device in the NW GUI, than in General tab change Enabled to YES?

Teh only way I know of is to restart the services. You can try just killing the nsrmmd processes, but it's a crapshoot to find the correct one.

The bigger question is: why are you reaching the max consecutive error limit?

Does this happen during backup operations... caused by bad tape or faulty drive?

Or does it happen during label operations when you are labeling new tapes?

Yes, the workaround is simply to re-enable the drive.
