Hi all,

I have networker server which backs up a load of servers.
The CFI is also backed-up as the server initiated backups should do.

The save sets saved to the volumes are ageing correctly from the browes and retention policy. The CFI indexes are NOT ageing at all they stay in recoverable mode all the time. The version I am running is 6.0.2. I have installed 6.0.3 as per my support but this has had no effect at all.

PLEASE do you know what to do. FernandezD

Without more info, not too sure but the index backup's will take the browse and retention of the Server not the client that you are baking up, this is because the index files you are backing up actually reside on the NetWorker server itself, and even though you they are a clients index, the files belong to the server.

If you have a long browse and retention on the server then they wil be taking this browse and retention not the clients.

Hope this helps.

The brows and retention policy are the same as the clients but these do not age.

But you got the problem ok.

very simple setup I have here but they still do not expire FernandezD

you may backup the index and bootstrap in a separate pool
for example:
pool test
Group:test1
Client
Save sets:bootstrap index
Level
in the example, all clients's bootstrap and index in the Group of test1 will backup to the pool test.So you don't worry about the problem of recycle.

Hope this help
