We are currently using NetWorker 7.4.4 and the NetWorker Module for Oracle 5.0 to backup an Oracle database using RMAN in a RAC environment.
Since the manuals appear to be vague on this setup, I am curious of others' experience using NetWorker in this environment.
Currently we are backing up the database from a single node (single instance of the database), but it seems as if it is possible to perform these backups across all the nodes in the cluster in parallel, potentially speeding up backup time.
I am concerned about the indexing of this data and the ability to restore the database to any node in the cluster.
Does anyone on this forum have any suggestions for best practices in this environment?
