Running Win Srv 2003, with NetWorker 7.4
I have an ATL Medium Changer with 1 quantum sdlt600 drive

When i run jbconfig - the drive is seen as \\.\Tape0; which is what i see when i run inquire - however it then displays a "Drive 2, element 129" and ask for a Drive Path.

Has anyone seen this before ?

so while using jbconfig after entering the name for drive 1 , networker is still looking for a drive pathname for drive 2 , inspite of only havign one drive in the jukebox.

this is a known issue with jbconfig binary , and the work around is to give a dummy name for the drive path ( there is kb article in powerlink which walks you through the process )
or you can log a call with EMC support and they can help you with this

I turns out that the library had the option for 2 drives, although only having one installed, you had to manually disable the second drive.
