I have networker 7.3.2 installed on a Solaris 220 server now. This is my backup server now. The tape drive is a ADIC vls DLT700. What I have seen after upgrading to 7.3.2 is if I mount a tape for a backup, at a later time it will eject the tape. Which is not good for us. IS there a way to turn this off. I was told this was a feature. With 7.2.1 this was not a problem??

I know I can write a script to mount the tape but would like to know if this eject process can be turned off.

Thanks in Advance

By default, NW will unload the tape after a 10 mintes . This is due to the Idle Device Timeout parameter for the jukebox. You may increase this, if necessary.

to completely turn off the automatic unload, set the idle device timeout to 0
