When recovering files from computer1 to computer2, I get an error saying that user root for computer2 does not exist on computer1 remote access list. Both servers(computer1 and computer2) are running Solaris. How do I go about adding user root in the remote access list of computer2? Please help.

Thx

By default, only the user who has run the backup can recover the data. If you need another user to recover the data you must add him to the "remote access" list of the source client.

You will find the parameter in the tab "Globals (2 of 2)". Add the account in email style (user@host).

Sorry, but where is "Globals (2 of 2)"? I'm not too familiar with Solaris. Is there a way for me to do this from CLI? Thx.

Sorry, i was explaining the Windows Admin GUI.

If you start "nwadmin &" you should open your client setup and when you scroll down you will find it. Probably, you must make hidden attributes become visible (view - details).

Yes, you can do this from the command line but assuming that you a novice, this would even be more difficult.

Thanks for the response. I think I know what you're referring to. I saw the Remote Tab under Client properties and there I see root@host entered. I'm assuming I need to enter it in this field. I'll go ahead and try this and will let you know if it works.
