Networker 6.12 maintenance

I'd like to get recommendations from you guys concerning regular maintenance of my backup server. My server runs networker 6.12 and Solaris 8. In older versions of networker, I know one needed to manually enter nsrck commands against the indeces periodically in order to prevent corruption. Is this necessary with version 6.12, or is this process automated? Also, are there any other things I should be doing regularly in order to maintain the health of my backup server and the networker software?
