Hi,
Thought I share my experience with installing Networker Client on RedHat 8 even though it's not supported from Legato.
When trying to install the client either via the NWinstall script or the rpm it always gave me the following error:
---
/var/tmp/rpm-tmp.82529: line 1: /lib/nsr/poin.cln: No such file or directory
error: %post(lgtoclnt-6.1.3-1) scriptlet failed, exit status 127
---
My solution was to copy the file "poin.cln" from another Linux networker client install (i.e running RH 7.3) and place it in /lib/nsr/ and in /usr/lib/nsr/ with 755 permissions.
After the file where in place I could run the install script and everything was loaded fine.
I don't know why it worked, or what the file poin.cln does or why I had to copy it preinstall but I have tested it on 2 RH8 servers.
Maybe Legato will release a supported client version on Redhat 8 someday, but until then I can still take backups with the current release !
Hope it helps someone.
