I have a customer that has a remote location with 2 phones connected through the network to the home office a couple of km's away. They want to set up an amp with a couple of horns for incoming call ringing only. I never had that scenario asked before. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

You would want to add a third party IP device license, and then install an IP Paging adapter or ATA at the remote location that could trigger the AMP. You'll also probably need a site to site VPN router to connect the two sites, or you'll have to have a way for the adapter/ATA to get back to the phone system site as a device on their network.

I would use an ATA twinned to the extension with any off the shelf loud ring adapter. There are also several amps that have a special input just for that application. I would look at the Viking Electronics products.
