I know there is a CopmTIA forum by i'm looking for someone who has taken a few MS exams and is also Network +.

I'm wondering the approx difficulty of the exam so i have an idea how much work i might need to put in.

I'm currently an MCSA on 2K and 2K3 inc 70-218 and 70-292 and i have 7 years experience managing client/server networks with managed switches / V LANs.

What should i expect?

Cheers.

I did the Network+ Beta exam in 2004 or 2005 and found it fairly easy.
I didn't have the time to do any studying for it at all apart from glancing at the subject headings of what they were looking for.
If memory serves it had quite a bit on wireless networking for being back then.

'Real' exam might be a lot different of course.

However if you have that much experience I doubt you'll run into any trouble.

Big problem is that the CompTIA exams are so expensive and they don't have the 2nd chance option that MS currently do.
Thankfully the Beta one was free, as was the Server+ Beta which I also passed.

Hi Neill

I think i'll try and get a second hand copy of the Exam Cram book i'm not sure if the course will benefit me so i don't want to spend ages on it but work might pay for the exam so i'm concidering it.

Shame there aren't any betas available :)

Cheers.

Have you asked in the CompTIA forum about the difficulty?

Neill

I did the network + and found it quite easy. I did study for it off and on for a month before testing. If I remember right I only missed one question.
