I've seen many similar threads adressing a problem such as this, but none of them seemed to have solved my problem. Anyhew -

I have several computers in this home network. 5 Computers are running XP, and one computer is running 98se. Just a couple of days ago, each and every computer worked perfectly. But now my favorite computer(Windows XP)..(the fastest one of course!) decided to kill itself over night. I can see the other computers perfectly, I can connect to every computer on the network, and I can ping their IP numbers. I can also ping their "nicknames", which I think proves that my DNS is not messed up.(Yes please bear with me, I'm not an expert in any way, thus me posting in these forums)

My network is set up rather simply, I have a cable modem which runs to a linksys router. Connected to the router are multiple switches and hubs that are located around the house, so I can easily plug in a LAN cable and get playing.(Yes yes, you heard it, I host lan parties).

I don't know what other information I can give you. I know, just call me the newb.

Thanks for your help guys.

Thanks for the reply! I'll try out this program ASAP. And yes, all the other computers have internet access.
