Greetings:
I've just joined a SQL 2005 Study group. I have a server at the office of the company I work for. It is a windows based infrastructure with a sonicwall firewall. I have been given one of the companies IP addresses for my own use. I can also use the VPN client to negotiate the firewall. Finally, I have a router. I want to securely connect to my server from outside of the office. After consulting with sonicwall I may open port 1433 for TCP/UDP. I suspect that VPN may be the safest but at some point I might want a small number of others to connect to my server as well. Much thanks for your attention as I await replies
