Hi,

I have a pc with Windows XP Pro and my father has just bought a laptop with Windows Vista.

I'd like to create a network with both, is it possible? would it be better both machines had the same OS?

Thanks

you can do this. When you say network, you mean file/printer sharing ? I do that at home. Have Visat Home premium and Winxdows XP Pro. You enable the file and printer sharing and is very easy. If you are talking about internet sharing, you can do that too. But I recommend you use a router that has multiple LAN ports. Using Windows internet connection sharing is a make shift solution (not recommended). this make sense ?
