How do I make it so network volumes from my Windows network come up when the system boots up. I get tired of having to connect to the server and remount every time. There must be an easier method.

I tried that and it just kept getting stuck trying to load. I called and talked to Apple who said it wasn't possible. But that can't be true since at the school I go to they are able to remap the volumes on restart.

Maybe, just maybe you can make a logon script using AppleScript to map these drives or ask your schools admin how he/she managed to get it done.

Weird, I did it at work with appleshare IP volumes aliased to my desktop and it worked just fine. I double click on them and they pop up the log in screen, my username is already there, I enter my password and the volume mounts. My desktop is running OSX10.2.2

Once you're connected, maybe you can try dragging the alias to the Servers folder inside of the System Folder. Give it a try Knowledge is power and take great pride in associating with powerful people- technical people
