How come i'am getting different value in sniffer utilization in dashboard and in show process cpu in switch cisco4000? How are they computed in sniffer? In cisco4000 they are in in sec, min and in 5min.

several reasons,

- it is software based, so always depending on your hardware, if you run two sniffer on a different laptop, you wil also get slightly different values
- Sniffer is taking a sample interval of 10 seconds, click on the treshold button in your dashboard an see the option.

Use the dash more as an indication of what is happening, it is (and never wil be) very accurate.
regards,
Robert

I also think the key here is that the cpu utilization and bandwidth utilization are 2 different animals.

'Making things work better; bit by bit.'

I agree with fortunat. show process cpu is different than utilization in the Sniffer dashboard

sorry, didn't read the question to well, i have to agree with fortunat to. However, my answer still stands if your talking about the measured utilization on a switch, comapred to the indication on the sniffer dash.
regards,
robert
