Hi all
We have been noticing severe bandwidth issues of late. The last time it happened we quickly plugged the router from the network and into a single PC and there was no speed issues which leads us to beleive it's someone/ something within the office.
I'm looking for something that can either scan our router's IP and tell us who is hogging the bandwidth or scan port 80 on all 110 PCs and show us when someone's hogging it.
I saw Solarwinds Orion being mentioned in a previous post I think snmp would be a problem (and there's the high cost!)
We have no problem paying for a tool but don't want to blow a large chunk out of our budget either.
One more thing that makes this tricky is our networ setup, we have no gateway PC that we could install this app on to scan all passing traffic. Its:
(servers, desktops, printers)-->(switches)-->(router/firewall)-->Internet.
If anyone has any suggestions I'd love to hear them as I've been searching for the last couple of days now.
Thanks a million
