Hello,

I'm looking for the exact meaning of this event (what is exactly considered as errors and what type of errors does the software compile to show up this event).

I have searched in the documentation and found no description of the events in detail.

Thanx for help.

What kind of 3Com devices are you referring to? Switch, Hub, Router, etc...????

What are you doing when you receive the error?

Please advise.

I am monitoring 3300 switchs end 3500 and the event "Link Error Rate" is showing quite often with stats such as 29% off all frames on particular port!

My problem is that when I try to correlate with the telnet stats on the switch or the web based interface on the switch for that port I don't find the same values and errors are showing far less than the events tends to tell.

This lead me wondering what are all the errors counted in this event because I can not match what "Network Supervisor" tell and what the switch report in is online stats ?
