Hey everyone..
I am not 100% this convo should be here.. but lets run with it…
I recently acquired a Belkin Wireless Access Point # F5D7130. I was interesdted in the “bridge” mode it has. But, after doing some reading, I think I might be out of luck (unless I buy another router). Is there a method to setting this up to work as a “stand” alone bridge.
Issue is, I have a laptop with no(ie disabled) wireless (802.11) options (Company laptop and all) and I can VPN via a hardwired connection fine, but it a different location (Kitchen table ;P ) From upstairs, I was hoping to use this bridge into the hardwired port on the Laptop, and have it link with my existing wireless network in the home.
Is this possible? Or should I invest in one of those Network adapters that work with Xbox/PS2s?
Thoughts?
Thanks
Matt
