How do I setup my network in Linux Mandrake 8.0.

I.e.

Where do I set my IP, gateways etc. (MS Windows -> Network Propperties)
Where do I access my network. (MS Windows -> Network Neighbourhood)

P.S. Mandrake does detect my network card.

I think you're referring to samba shares ("Network Neighbourhood" runs off samba). In which case the config file is normally [tt]/etc/samba/[/tt].

nautilus is a good linux file manager where you can browse samba shares.

network setup is found in [tt]/etc/networks/[/tt]

you can also configure your TCP/IP network using the command [tt]ifconfig[/tt].
