Network Scanning with HP Officejet 7310

I have a Officejet 7310 set-up for network scanning .It seems to work fine sometimes and not others and coming up with unable to communicate.
I can find no network issues and have installed all the latest software from the HP site the problem deems to be mainly on a laptop running windows XP with SP2

Any ideas

Go with latest driver ver 4.7 from the website will be dated 4 25 06 this unit you sometimes have to unplug the usb cable power off then back on then plug the usb cable back in............... there is an issue with the drive for this unit our company has about 8 of these .Good Luck .
