I am getting ready to deploy Windows 7 across my mostly Catalyst network. Mostly Cat Switch (6509) Core and 3550’s and Foundry 10/100 with Gig links on the edge. This is all going across via multicast and I was wandering how I could tell if I am going to saturate my network connections and how many end stations I can update at a time. Any ideas onn how I can document this?

Well, if you do a "show interface gi0/x" before you start, then do the same during the transfer, you could gather some stats that way, but it's cumbersome. I did this on my network, but only did 7 stations at a time, no problems. You could use MS's NetMon applet to watch it in real time.

just install the Cisco Network Assistant (CNA) on your PC, that can be help for reports and topologies.
