network remote database

I have a FM v.5.5 database (multiple FM files ca: 8 st, 20 MB each), which I have to put on remote server (Web-Hotel) can I access with 4 clients stimulates? and do I need to have Filemaker pro server edition?

Server version is always the best way to go.

In FM5.5 you could go for a system with a dedicated machine and lower than 10/5 users, but for performance and security, I would go for the server version.
