On 5 new win98SE machines i recently installed, the network drives do not reconnect at logon. Only my second edition machines have this problem. windows nt network, win98SE operating system, 10/100 cards. After I log on to the NT network I can go into my computer and double click the unconnected drive a few times and the connection is re-established. this only happens on these 98SE computers. any suggestions?

There should be a check box for this. When you right click a drive on a foreign machine to designate it as a network drive, there should be a check box that say "reconnect on logon" or something to that effect. Of course, it could be different for you; I'm using two win98 SE machines, you say you gotta win NT network, so your security software could be bungling this up. I'm not sure. Hope I helped.

the reconnect at logon box is checked. that is the problem, it does not reconnect as it should.
