Some computer have a BIOS feature to wake-on-event type 47, which may work for a USB connected printer.

Otherwise, leave the computer on 24/7, or install a print server device. Use Google for 'ethernet print servers'. The latter would certainly take less power than a fully on computer.

I solved this problem with a LinkSys PSUS4 print server. Has a USB port for the printer and also functions as a 4 port ethernet switch. Print from any computer on the network and doesn't depend on any specific computer being turned on.

a print server device should be a good suggestion.
1st of all, the print server uses less power and dont go to sleep.

I know no voice, I knew nothing about systems,
i know NUTS on networking, Therefore I dont know anything!
