I copied reports & tables from my local harddisk onto the common/shared hard disk from a LAN network. Now when I try to view these reports & tables from another LAN PC I receive the following error msg.

"CANNOT OPEN XXX.DB"
"CANNOT ACCES DIRECTORY"
"FILE PDOXUSRS.LCK"
"DO YOU WANT TO REPLACE IN THE DATA MODEL"

In the BDE I changed "Local Share" = TRUE
"Netdir" points to the root dir of the common LAN harddisk

Any ideas?

espuelas,

First, close all copies of Paradox that are pointing to the copies of your tables. Next, use Explorer (or a command window, if you'd rather) to see if there are any .LCK files directory containing the copies. If so, delete them.

You should be able to open the tables then. If not, then verify that all workstations are pointing to the same .NET file.

Hope this helps...

Are you noticing this problem with Windows XP? I have had similar problems with the same messages and did not have any problems with the tables or reports until I upgraded my laptop to XP. I am connecting to a WIN98 Server.
