Network Printing Problem

not too helpful, but some things to try:
i had same problem with networked Optra S 1855 ...
no error messages, prints fine on parallell, can be pinged (and flashed) on the network but make it live and nothing happens - apart from cycling through busy/waiting states.
second printer on same port worked fine.
tried changing the network card (with a working one); still no joy.
at whcih point i decided it was either the engine board or the controller board - too expensive to fix, so have bought new printer for netowrk and will let some lucky user have monster personal printer!
