Help, please.

We recently installed Citrix 6.00.910 and a consultant is now telling us that we cannot have network printers and must install local printers at each workstation. Is this true? If not, where can I go to show the consultant that he is incorrect? My gut is telling me the consultant is wrong.

Thanks.

We have a network printer installed on Citrix Metaframe with Windows 2000 Terminal Services.

It works swell.

We just set it up like a regular workstation install for a network printer. (Add Printer, etc.)

It isn't using Jet Direct or anything like that.

Trust your gut. You can also reference the following link:

Or do a search on the Citrix web site for printers.

It is a white paper on Citrix client printing. I quote:

"A client printer is any printer accessible from the ICA client computer. The client printer can be physically attached to the client computer's parallel port, or it can be a network printer which is accessible from the ICA client computer."

How you network it is up to you.
So, I guess that answers your question.
