Network Printer Setup Question

I am trying to Network a home printer through Win 95 cable modem with a SMC router with print server. I am getting an error of " Failed to Open File" when I print.
I have set the following:
PRTmate ( all in 1 Sharer)
the correct driver, correct IP, spool print jobs so program finishes faster.....Any suggestions?
