Network - Printer OCE will not work

Hey everybody,

i have the problem,that we have cleaned our office
the plotter (OCE) will not work.
- lpstat says Ready
- oce is enabled
- i can´t get an ping to the networkserver (AXIS 650)
- the networkkable is switched correct
- the networkserver works, i have tryed him on another pc.

please help

hi, it is almost strange !

Seen you have cleaned office, I belive it is an hw
problem, not a configuration change (name,ipaddrs,ecc)

However, logical thinking, ensure that :

1) your aix box can ping other computers
2) the ip-address of AXIS printer-server is correct :
- nobody has chenged it,
- what you have in /etc/host is updated
- name resolution method is the same between
pc and AIX (DNS or not)
