network printer not working anymore

I don't know if this is the right forum for this questions, but I have a HP Laserjet 5N, it has its own ip address, I printed the configuration page it is correct. The printer was working fine, and now it is not working anymore, it says ready, but nothing happens, when you look in printer properties it says status not available.

All what was done, was on the Server NT 4.0 I switched NIC Cards, one was not working correctly anymore.
Can this have something to do with it? Or is it a coincidence?

Any ideas, I tried to re-configure but the server did not find the device?

My bet: Coincidence.

Turn off the printer, remove and re-seat the JetDirect card.

I have to do it all the time. The connection gets crappy.

Verify that your cabling is good too.

Do the jobs leave the queue?

Hi, I will try that, no the jobs are not leaving the queue, there stay in there, with the message ( Printing - status not availale)

Can you "ping" the printer ip address? Have you tried to telnet to the printer and verify the jet direct card is
functional?
