Hi,
we have several hp printers on our small network. They are configured as network printers so any of the desktop PC's can access them. When a job is printing, its possible for another job to pre-empt the original job and that persons output will be intermixed with the first jobs output.

How can this be stopped?

If you are using HP printservers, you might wanna check for a firmware upgrade for these. Another sollution would be to set up a PC as server for the printers handling the printjobs from the clients.

hpwizzard,
is the printserver you are referring to the same as an HP jetdirect box? We use those in all the printers. Some are built in others are external.
Thought about using a PC but then you have all those machines to manage. Would rather not do that.

I'll look into the config for the jet direct.

thanks for your reply.
