Hello All.

I have a server1 and I am experiencing the following network problem when I try to access server2. Both servers are connected on the same switch and they are on the same subnet 192.168.10.x. This problem affects the operation of a web application.

- I restart server1
- I logon in server1 and I "ping server2 -t" and I get
"reply from 192.168.10.x time < 1 ms"
- After 10 minutes of normal ping operation with "time < 1ms" then the problem starts occuring.... Server2 replies...

I tried pinging from server1 to other servers that are connected on the same switch and the same problem occurs.
Constantly every nine-ten replies with time < 1 ms I get one reply with time < 12 ms.
Also, notice that if I restart the server1 then for about 10 minutes I am not experiencing the problem. After 10-15 minutes the problem occurs.

Also I tried to ping from server2 to server1 and the problem occured again. Finally I tried to ping from server2 to server3 and the problem did not occured so I concluded that the problem is with server1 only. Any ideas what is causing this problem in server1? Is it a hardware issue?

Thank you in advance

Stergios.

If I was forced to guess, I would get Operating Software, but it might just be a NIC Driver.

I tried to remain child-like, all I acheived was childish.

Yes. It was the VGA driver that caused this problem. Problem solved.
