Hi everyone?
My customer have got two rs6000 box(s85).
they are clustering each other in concurrent mode for OPS
my customer want to more network performance between two node.
i did install ent0(10/100) adapter which used only OPS
they are connected twist cable each other.
can i use gigabit adapter between two node?
if yes, could you explain how can i?
thanks & regards

You have 2 choices...

Get 2 Gb Ethernet adapters and a switch.
Get 2 Gb Ethernet adapters and cross-wire them directly.

I'd prefer the first method. Cleaner and allows for expansion.

Very easy to do, works well. I've seen some pretty high numbers on our Gb connection from our H80 to S80.

Hi bjverzal!
thanks for your reply.
could i ask one more question?
if i connected to them directly, what's kinds of cable?
could you more detail description to me?
thanks & regards

You'll need a fiber cable. Usually orange in color. Each cable is made up of 2 individual cables (1 for transmit, 1 for receive). Best of luck!
