I HAVE A NETWORK SET UP AT HOME - 2 WINDOWS 2000 PROFESSIONAL WORKSTATIONS AND A WIN2K SERVER WITH A ILINK ROUTER. I want to share my files and drives - but after i mapped my drives(shared) i get a message saying "Network path not found " when i try to connect thru :
\\computername thru DOS
I can ping all 3 pc.

If you haven't already found a solution, check to see if you have a firewall on any of the machines which blocks non-trusted IP addresses.
Turn off firewall to see if can connect. If so, then allow the IP addresses of your machines in the firewall(s) trusted zone.
I just had this experience when trying to share files and printer. The message gives no clue because they don't want possible intruder to know they're on the right track.

Hope this helps,
Steve
