I have a new (to me) PC given to me by a friend. It is a stand-alone desktop and is not connected to a network. But everytime I start it up I get a small window asking to to

Enter Network Password

How can I eliminate this??? Thanks.

I am running Windows 98.

Under network under control panel, change the client for microsoft in the middle drop down box to Windows logon. I think that is why it is asking yo for a network pswd.
