I've got an NT 4 server and about 20 Win 95 clients. I have checked the speed on all machines, and every one of them is running well, execpt for three. These machines are PII 350 and are slow when looking through files on the server. Saving files on the server is slow, as is deleting a line in Excel. The network is a 10MBps network, the cards are all 3Com.

Are the three machines that are slow on the same hub? We had a similar situation, and it was due to a faulty hub. Another time, it was the cabling in the walls, and we needed to bring the phone guys in for that.

The hub and the cabling are good places to start, but since you said they are 3com cards, check them to see if they are set for full duplex or half duplex operation.
It would help to know the following:
Cable type
Switch/hub specifics

I would really check that half duplex thing, though. 3-com by defaults to "auto" on the speed and duplex settings, and often will auto detect half duplex.

Of course, sometimes, half duplex is faster for some hubs, and that might be the setting you want. Swap it around and see which is fastest.
Thanks for all the help. I reset the cards and installed some more memory into the machines at the same time (Silly I know) as I now have no idea what cured the problem. But it's gone now, thanks folks!
