One of my clients is running a 50-user Windows 2000 network. They use Strucad, a structural engineering package, and an accounts package called SysPro running over MS SQL Server.

In the afternoon, when the drawing office are backing up to server, Syspro slows right down and eventually crashes on the workstations. No problem on the server.

We have one co-ax connection on the network connecting an old lantastic PC, could this be at fault.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Mike
