Our office is using a Linksys 54G and for some reason we can't see member clients in the Network Neighborhood. When you click the workgroup icon there's a long, long, long wait. Either nothing happens or there's an error that you're not authorized to use this feature and to see the administrator. I am the administrator! I haven't changed anything.

Everything else works OK.

What could be causing this? Anyone else have this problem?

Any assistance appreciated.

Can you "see" the AP(s) ?

Yes I can see the Access Point and can make changes in the web interface.

I can also ping any known IP on the network.

And...Hot off the press!

While I was typing this message I hit the Network icon and guess what? It worked!

So now I guess it would be concidered a intermitent problem.

Come to think of it. I can sort of remember through the years that Microsoft networking has always been kind of wishy-washy.

I'll just have to see how long it lasts.

Thanks

Does the AP have any management s/w ? A thought, the ping command may have "awakened" the interface.
