Hi all,

Does anybody know of a way to check how much traffic goes through each of the network cards in a system at any one time?
I have a 6800 with 4 network cards (and a limited amount of bandwith) and would like to know how much of this bandwith is being used over each interface at any given moment.
I've tried iostat, vmstat and sar but I can't find a switch which gives me my desired output using any of these commands:-(
Freeware could be an option if anybody can recommend anything........

Thanks!

One way to do what you want is to go bug your friendly router guys and have them provide you with stats for your interface's...

Im sure there are some 3rd party progs to do what you want, but im not sure what they are at the moment..

Thanks for the replies (especially since I posted my question into the wrong forum)!

I hadn't thought of asking the network guys - i'll do that now!
I have tried netstat but it doesn't give me what I'm looking for.

Thanks!
