Network Management on PowerEdge Servers

I need some insight on Network Management (SNMP) for DELL platform PowerEdge servers.

I would like to implement SNMP across the board and use a PROPER NMS Console for monitoring and alarming/paging.

Little bit of history. I am very familier and experienced with SNMP and SNMP browsers etc., however, such items as the DELL MIBS I noticed have certain parts and/or other mibs missing that are required.

I have also noticed that the OPENMANAGE product is not easily understood. (This is the software that ships with the server).

We are currently running a mix of Operating Systems. Everything from RED HAT Linux to WINDOWS NT 4.X server and Windows 2000 server.

So if someone in the DELL realm could shine a light on how Dell's MIB structure works and how I can tie it into an SNMP brower such as Whats UP Gold, or Dell's OPEN Manage software, I would greatly appreciate it.

Sincerely

Th Dr.
