Currently, Im using Optivity 9.2, I've discovered all my Nortel routers and switches but Im wondering whether I can draw or interconnect all this routers/switches using a link. I have tried but failed, is there a way to do this ? Right now all the routers/switches is in detailed listing only.

Thanks in advance.

Double click on the internet folder in IC.
By default it opens in the internet layer showing just Routers and the subnet objects configured on them.
Tranform this folder now to the data link layer. And choose the graphical display mode. This should show you the entire network map. Routers connected to switches via links.
Hop ethis helps

hi

I have a problem, I have installed optivity 9.2 on WIN NT. now when I define the seed in the auto topology manager, it gets stuck at topdt file. may be due to the fact that its start searching for the end devices ie the machines awhich are over 5000 in my netwrok .can any one sugeest how can I limit my search only to hte routers and switch stacks.

thanx in advance

Hi there

I have installed Optivity 9.2 but unable to discover the network, I have heard we need to make the seed router entry into one file before running auto topology discovery, without that the discovery will not be successful. please suggest
