Hi,
I have a question in regards to multi user access. My situation is that I have an access database on a novell network drive. I am using forms that are set to “Edited Record” locking.
I have noticed that if I have two people have the database open at once, and that the first one edits 2 or more records in less than three seconds, all three records will be locked. For example, if client A edits 3 records in less than 3 seconds, client B will see all three as locked by client A. The only way these records are released is if the client that locked these records 1) closes the form 2) goes to another record 3 seconds after editing the 2+ records or 3) goes to a new record
I have also set all the network settings under tools->options->advanced (ole/dde timeout, refresh interval, etc.) to 1.
Is there any configuration that will stop one user from locking 2+ records? Thanks in advance.
