OK Guys, I am stuck. I have a server running RHEL 5 and, after a power failure (UPS failed completely), I am having network issues. I am able to ping the server from other devices on the network but cannot ping out from the server. I get a destination host unreachable. Same issues with pinging devices both on the same VLAN and on another VLAN.

If you need more info, ask away. Any ideas for me? Thanks in advance.

Check the server's DNS or host file. It may have lost the necessary configuration to contact the reset of your network.

Check for your default gateway. Seems like after the power failure you might have lost that from the routing table.

Regards,
Chuck
