network issue on a mac....

Hi all, got a problem:
Im working on an interactive cdrom that talks to a online database.
The final projector first loads an xml file, then receives data from the database before the interface shows up.
This all is working verry well on a pc.. but not on a mac! >=(


This is what happens if i launch it on a mac: (G5, 1GB ram)

First the xml-parsing takes more than 5 minutes !!
Then annother 5 min will pass before it says the connection failed !!

Why is this happening, does annyone know?
Is it a build-in firewall or something? wrong Xtras?
er... HELP ?

It can be anything. You have to run the DIR file on Mac to see what is happening.
