Hi all, I look after a small network (20 pc's) running various os's. I am not crash hot on doing the network side of things so am here. The committee want me to make 1 of the computers dial up to the internet, I done this but it still searches for the server as it is still part of the network because of the printers being on other machines. What we want to do is to have this 1 machine dial up seaparately but still be able to use the printers on the other pc's, but without it searching for the server. Is there a way to do this and where. Thanks in advance.

Can you give a bit more detail please? Is this a workgroup (or domain? - you say machine 'searches for server'. Is that an NT/2k server or just a machine 'designated' as server). Is the dial-up machine sharing its internet connection with the rest of the network? Or is there another internet connection that the rest of network is using?

A bit confused, as cannot see why machine dialing up should stop it having access to network printers. What do you mean by 'searching for server'? Does it do this when you try to print? Or access the internet?

PS. Assuming machine in question is 95/8 as that's the forum you've posted in.
