Network initialisation failed message with Windows XP Professional

A project which runs without problems under Windows 98 and Windows professional seems to be having problems under Windows XP Professional.

When attempting to access a server database XP reports 'Network initialisation failed' locking error on Pdoxusrs.net.

This occurs when no paradox lck and net files are present either on the local machine or server. All other machines continue to work as expected.

Any help appreciated

If you are using Novell Netware client 4.83e this can be the source of your problem. There is a patch from Novell, nt483pt2.exe that fixes the problem.
