When I use PcAnywhere or VNC to control a distant machine, up to a certain time the network interface on the machine controlled entirely freezes making it unreachable either from the LAN or from the outside. All I can do is to ask someone (on local site) to make it restart...

The machine is a W2K SP3 Pro up to date. The network interface is a Realtek 81XX family (10/100) integrated on the motherboard (gigabyte 7vrxp). Video is an ATI radeon I think (not sure).

Otherwise the machine never fails (works 24/24 FTP server, antivirus server, backup)

Any idea?

Thank you very much
